01. Information We Collect

We collect information that you directly provide when using PortfolioXAI to create a portfolio. This includes:

• Portfolio Details: Experience, education, skills, projects, contact handles, and other details you fill out in the builder forms.
• Resume Uploads: When you upload a PDF resume, we parse its text to auto-fill the forms. The uploaded files are processed securely.
• Uploaded Media: Headshots, project images, and logos you choose to show on your portfolio. These are uploaded and served via Cloudinary.
• Contact/Feedback Information: If you submit an inquiry form or feedback, we collect your email, name, and the text of your message.

02. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To host, run, and display your live portfolio page.
• To provide AI-assisted rewriting and content optimization features.
• To process template-unlock upgrade inquiries and support you during onboarding.
• To show approved user testimonials/feedback on our landing page.
• To monitor, analyze, and improve our platform performance and user experience.

03. Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with trusted third-party services necessary for operating the platform:

• Cloudinary: Used to securely host and deliver images uploaded to your portfolio.
• Stripe / Razorpay: Secure payment gateways used to process single template purchase fees. We never store your full payment card details.
• Resend: Used to dispatch inquiry emails to the system administrator.

04. Data Retention & Rights

Your portfolio content is stored in our database. We support and retain your free portfolio data for up to 1 year, after which it might be deleted. Since you can use our service without registering an account, you can update or delete your portfolio directly through the editor link, or contact us to have it permanently removed.
