Optional paid add-ons include premium template unlocks (one-time), custom domain licenses (one-time), AI credit packs, and resume parser credits. There are no monthly subscription fees.

AI credits are used when you invoke the AI content writer (rewrites, ATS optimization, portfolio roast). Each AI action consumes one credit. Credits are purchased in packs of 10 and never expire while your account is active. You can preview the editor without using any credits.

Free templates can be used and published at no cost. Premium templates require a one-time payment that permanently unlocks that template design for your specific portfolio. You pay once — there is no recurring fee for that template.

All purchases are final once digital access is granted, since these are immediately-delivered digital goods. The sole exception is if a purchased template is demonstrably non-functional due to a platform bug. In that case, you may submit a refund request within 7 days of purchase to our support email.

When editing any text field (bio, experience bullet, project description), you can click the AI rewrite button to get an improved, professional version of your content. Each rewrite consumes one AI credit. You review the suggestion and choose to accept or keep your original.

ATS (Applicant Tracking System) optimization is an AI feature that analyzes your portfolio content and suggests improvements to help your resume pass automated screening filters used by employers. It highlights missing keywords and rewrites bullets in a format that ATS software scores highly.

Portfolio Roast is an AI-powered review that critically analyzes your published portfolio and gives you specific, actionable feedback on what to improve — from weak descriptions to missing sections. It is styled humorously but provides genuinely useful critique.

Upload any PDF or DOCX resume and PortfolioXAI automatically extracts and populates your name, work experience, education, skills, and projects into the portfolio editor. Parsing is done in-memory — the raw file is not permanently stored on our servers after extraction. Each parse consumes one resume credit.

No. Your portfolio content sent to AI features (Google Gemini) is processed solely to generate suggestions for you. It is not used to train AI models. Only the specific field you selected is sent to the AI provider, and only when you explicitly invoke an AI feature.

Every portfolio is published to a free, permanent URL in the format: portfolioxai.com/p/[your-slug]. You choose your slug (e.g. portfolioxai.com/p/johndoe). This URL is immediately shareable with recruiters, clients, and on LinkedIn.

Yes. You can connect any custom domain you own (e.g. johndoe.com or portfolio.johndoe.com) by adding a CNAME DNS record pointing to portfolioxai.com through your domain registrar. A one-time Custom Domain License is required per portfolio. Setup takes 5 minutes plus DNS propagation time (usually 15 minutes to a few hours).

All public portfolio deployments undergo an admin review to maintain quality and safety. We aim to complete reviews within 1–3 business days. During review, your portfolio is only visible to you when signed in. Visitors see a 'Deployment Under Review' placeholder. You are notified by email when approved.

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. PortfolioXAI complies with the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA), EU GDPR 2016/679, and UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Yes. You can delete any portfolio directly from the editor. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact our support team at admin@portfolioxai.com. We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days.
